Refined in the upper frequencies and tonally even-handed, a poised and eloquent listen.
5 Stars - What Hi-Fi?

The DM 2/7, in its classic compact loudspeaker size, is ideal for medium sized rooms and can easily be placed on a bookshelf or on a small stand – even when space is limited.

The 6.5" (17 cm) MSP mid/bass driver works in perfect harmony with the 1.1" (28 mm) coated soft dome tweeter. The linear impedance and high power handling of the DM 2/7 make system integration easy. The very solid front baffle and the rigid and additionally braced cabinet reduce unwanted resonances, even at higher volumes.

The DM 2/7 is a perfectly balanced combination of a relatively compact cabinet size and an excellent sound performance in a wide frequency range.

Dynaudio DM Range – The dynamic loudspeakers

The Dynaudio DM models are cost-effective high performance loudspeaker solutions for a wide range of applications: Multi-channel and home theatre loudspeaker systems, custom installations or simply as traditional bookshelf, standmount or floorstanding loudspeakers for hi-fi systems.

The DM models employ the core Dynaudio driver technology: Extremely light aluminium wire voice coils, powerful magnet systems, light but rigid Magnesium Silicate Polymer (MSP) cone diaphragms, and the esteemed specially coated soft dome tweeter. With a high sensitivity, impedance correction, excellent long term power handling and high quality cross-over components, the DM will deliver authentic music reproduction and be compatible with virtually any amplifier. The DM models feature a rear-ported bass reflex design where the port can be damped to allow easy placement in various loudspeaker setups.

What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision - 5 Stars
Real clarity of vision from Dynaudio has delivered a speaker that’s a fun all-rounder that loves to go loud. Refined in the upper frequencies and tonally even-handed, they're a poised and eloquent listen.

Summoning seemingly bottomless reserves of attack and drive, they slam through the song with the sort of dynamic potency that provokes shock and admiration in equal measure.

Wind the volume to antisocial levels and the Dynaudios simply get louder, easily able to fill the biggest domestic listening spaces with sound without losing any control or focus.

Integration of the frequency range is smooth, and the DM2/7s are particularly capable where the bottom end is concerned: bass is solidly punchy, tightly gripped and tonally articulate.

And the Dynaudios have the speed and dexterity to make the most of this propulsive low-frequency presence. As true all-rounders, then, the Dynaudios are right on the money.

We’ve been searching for a seriously competitive speaker at this price point all year – and we’ve finally found it!

About Dynaudio

Dynaudio loudspeakers are held in the highest esteem by the recording engineers of the world’s most prominent recording studios - in fact the demanding British Broad casting Corporation (BBC Radio & Music) selected Dynaudio as the exclusive reference monitor for all of their modern recording and radio studios.

Founded over 30 years ago, when a group of engineers in Skander borg, Denmark who shared the passion for music came to the mutual conclusion that even the best loudspeakers available at the time were incapable of playing music without colouration. Phase shifts, propagation errors, distortion and poor transient response were clearly measurable and audible with virtually all loudspeakers.

From that date, Dynaudio has been dedicated to Authentic Fidelity, ambitiously setting forth to create a completely new and modern generation of loudspeakers based on their dedicated ground-breaking research. Their efforts over this time have resulted in innovative and technologically advanced developments that are at the foundation of Dynaudio’s unparalleled performance.

Innovations such as Dynaudio Directivity Control (DDC) technology have established Dynaudio loudspeakers as a sound quality reference worldwide, and over the years many different Dynaudio models have become audiophile classics: True loudspeaker legends for true music lovers.
