Jamo C 809 Technology
The C 809 is a feature-packed 3-way bass reflex speaker that uses two 7-inch woofers, a 7-inch midrange driver and a 1-inch decoupled tweeter to deliver remarkably accurate sound.

The speakers in the C 80 series share a number of attributes. They all feature tweeters with DTT and WaveGuide, with woofers and midrange units that use Hard Conical Cone and Centre-Plug technology. Furthermore, they all come with an Active Impedance Correction system, which neutralises the magnetic field around the pole piece, to reduce distortion by up to 50%. The C 809 also features bi-wiring, which allows you to fine tune the sound in perfect harmony with your room.

...this Jamo package has more than enough punch and rhythm to excite. And in any case, its overall presentation is so sumptuous, detailed and brimming with awesome scale and verve, that for both music and movies, this is a speaker package you could truly love. Not for the faint-hearted, but if you have the cash and the space, they are a sublime listen. Superb scale; excellent punch; fabulous build; quite good-looking, given their huge size.

Overall, the Jamo C 809s are powerful and dynamic, with a tonality that tends toward the warmer side of things. The C809s worked very well with rock music and were always impressive when the music tended towards large dynamics or deep bass. Additionally, the warmth of the Jamos gave the various music genres I listened to a pleasant and enjoyable sound. Finally, the Jamo C 809s are a very reasonably priced set of speakers for the level of performance and design one gets and deserve your serious consideration for either music or home theatre applications.
