Jamo i300 is a compact, high-end system that works with your iPod (charging issues on post 2006 models - see iCompatability below), your desktop, your laptop and as a quality home stereo system. It's the perfect sound solution - much more than just another iPod Accessory (iPod not included)
Some of the features of the i300 are-
Control Dock
A new Universal iPod well means that you will be able to use any dockable iPod (non-dockable 1st & 2nd generation iPods can be hooked up via the auxiliary inputs). The control docks auxiliary input on its back panel also opens the possibility of connecting a computer, games console, portable CD player etc. As you turn the volume knob, you will notice the volume light-bar indicator increases accordingly.
The Satellite Speakers
These satellites solid construction and design result in hi-quality sound and power never before experienced from an iPod speaker system. They are weighty, magnetically shielded boxes that pack a mighty punch, due in no small part to the 76mm (3in) co-axial driver thats fitted. Finished in high-gloss white they can be placed on a shelf or wall (a wall bracket is supplied as standard).
Subwoofer
The dedicated i300 subwoofer completes this audiophile-quality system with deep, powerful bass that you can hear and feel. Whats more, the subwoofer (which also has a high gloss white finish) has a 150 Watt high-efficiency Class D digital amplifier powering a 6½ inch bass driver. It also powers the two 75 Watt satellite speakers.
The class D digital amplifier was chosen because it is much more efficient than conventional amplifiers - it produces more sound and less heat. And with lower power consumption, the need for cooling is significantly reduced which again reduces the size of the heat sinks. A digital amplifier is not a cheap solution, but it is the right solution in order to decrease the size and enhance the performance.
Remote Control
The remote control (included) keeps the power of your iPod in the palm of your hand. The remote lets you play/pause, advance, go back or fast forward.
Design
The whole system is designed by the award-winning Danish team Smedegaard and Weiss - two female designers internationally recognised for their ability to successfully combine technical and aesthetic qualities. Other Jamo products designed by this team are the hugely successful A3_5 series, the A30 range and the exclusive A7 series
iCompatability
Charging Issues:
iPhones and iPods released after 2006 use a different charging system to previous apple products. While the Jamo i200/i300 will play the latest Apple models, it will not charge them.
Video Issues:
The iPod nano Video and the iPod Classic provide a video output of a type which may not be compatible with the i200/i300. Both models use a different video output and we released after the i300/i200 were designed and manufactured.
Please note that the Audio output is fully compatible with these iPod models.
The Jamo i300 and i200 speaker systems are deisgned to be fully compatible (audio and video) with the following iPod models:
