This excellent entry-level integrated amp breaks all the rules. That’s because it’s the first in its class to offer current feedback architecture – a feature that until now has been exclusive to the much more expensive models.

This technology provides very fast and accurate signal handling which results in perfectly balanced stereo sound reproduction and a very open and precise sound stage. Offering 40W per channel into 8 ohm or 55W into 4 ohm, this amp includes a metal chassis and front metal panel to ensure a very rigid and solid base.

It also offers customised components for sound tuning, a phono MM equaliser, as well as Source Direct functionality to ensure shortest signal paths. Without doubt, the PM5004 has raised the performance bar in the so-called entry level area.

After the marvelous CD5004 cd-player with a perhaps incomparable quality price ratio, Marantz makes a new performance with the alter ego dedicated to amplification. And more - the MM phono input makes the product complete and attractive.

Most of the circuits are discrete components. Tone tuning can get round with the “Direct Source mode “ for a better transparency. The connectivity is complete with five line outputs and 2 records outputs. We’ll note the dual speaker terminals which allows you to connect two pair of speakers.

The impression of transparency and freshness is charming us. The aspect off darkness or sterile of the old models has completely disappeared, in favor of a clean sound - spontaneous. The spectral balance is homogeneous. Tones are well negotiated particularly if we consider the price……

In brief all that is contribute to the emotional dimension is miraculously preserved. There is no other integrated amplifier at that price!
