Combining the French designed Cabasse MT3 Speaker System with the Canadian made Anthem MRX300 AV Receiver and an Aussie Hi Fi Cable Pack delivers to you an exceptional value-for-money home theatre surround sound solution. This complete home cinema pack includes:
Dive into the heart of the action with the Cabasse MT3 5.1 Speaker System - a mix of elegant acoustics and aesthetics for stereo listening or home cinema viewing. The Cabasse MT3 speakers reproduce soundstages with striking accuracy in their musical atmosphere, dialogue and dynamics.
A pristine acoustic quality, an adherance to original timbres and dynamic range, and a wide, stable and full soundstage, are the benefits of SCS (Spatially Coherent System) technology. A feature of the MT3, and perfect example of the adherence to SCS principles, can be found in the DOM36 Midrange-Tweeter, which includes Cabasse AIRE technology to faithfully produce realistic sound images.
All MT3 speakers feature magnetic front grilles to protect the drivers, with the Centre Channel being magnetically shielded (for placement near television / computer screens etc).
The Cabasse Jersey Floorstanding Loudspeaker sports a classic and stylish look with a front-firing bass reflex venting port allowing you to place this tower close to the walls of your room without having the LF booming or chocking. This loudspeaker comes loaded with two proprietary 17TD15 7" polymer woofers for the reproduction of both low and midrange frequencies.
With the bottom end of the Cabasse Jersey reaching a hefty 58Hz, you will find it performs excellently as both a front-channel speaker as well as the keynote of a high-end surround installations. The mids are sparkling and clean, full of vitality and presence, so you'll get amazing sound for vocals in music or dialog in movies. These two drivers sport concave cones for effortlessly moving a bigger mass of air and thus operate with greater efficiency.
TNT Audio - Sept 2011
Their sound is generally rich and open in the mid-high range, lively and sparkly. On the other end a generous and solid bass range helps counterbalancing the general mood: the two 17 cm midwoofers add weight and drama to the performance. Hence, don't expect a bright and thin sound! The Cabasse Jersey's are full-bodied speakers and deliver quite a big sound, with powerful bass and pure energy.
Control, precision, power and speed, these are the keywords that describe the bass performance of these French towers.
More or less, I've had the same feelings analyzing the rest of the audio spectrum: everything seems to aim to draw a precise, detailed, crystal clear picture of the musical event. Female voices, for example, are excellently reproduced with a stunning sense of presence and clarity. On the other hand, male voices, though being clean and detailed, seem to lack some body. Voices appear extremely stable and defined, that kind of performance one might expect from better quality loudspeakers.
String instruments sound harmonically rich and metallic when required while percussions appear fast and adequately rhythmic: the snare drum and the cymbals play slightly above the rest (toms and kick drum).
Microdetails, thanks to the excellent performance of the tweeter, are handled and reproduced accurately: for example, it is easy to detect click and pops of an old master tape. In other words, these loudspeakers are extremely transparent, more, much more than I expected from a product in this price range.
It should not come as a surprise the very good dynamic performance of these loudspeakers. High power handling is not a problem, these speakers can sound brutally loud (fancy a party anyone?). If you add they have 91 dB/w/m of sensitivity, they can do that even with low powered amplifiers. I've listened to them at very high levels (more than 100 dB at the listening seat, 105 dB during peaks) without detecting traces of dynamic compression. Actually, they can follow tough dynamical variations with ease, even big choirs and orchestras aren't a real problem: these speakers retain their lively personality even at high listening levels.
These towers are amazingly elegant ... The level of craftsmanship and finish is very high, with rounded and smooth corners everywhere. Overall, the general feeling is that of a well-thought product, solid, meticulously engineered and nicely crafted.
... these speakers have everything one might need: good looks, excellent finish, ease of use, high WAF.
The sound is - more or less - like the one I'd expect it to be: lively, open, crystal clear
The Jersey's are rather complete loudspeakers: they perform nicely with many (most) musical genres and give your Music a touch of liveliness that is welcomed most of the times. Despite of this they never sound harsh or shouty as one might expect.
... building a nicely sounding HiFi system does no longer require a mortgage. Bravo Cabasse!

Designed in Brittany, France, at the Cabasse Acoustic Center, home to 60 years of acoustic innovations, Cabasse technology offers new discoveries in sound day after day. Founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, the Cabasse firm inherited not only its creator’s name, but also his genius.
Georges Cabasse is from the world of music, and he is gifted with a special talent. He has a unique memory for sounds. Probably a gift from his ancestors, hailing back to a stringed instrument maker who crafted the first violin signed Cabasse in 1740 at Mirecourt in the Vosges Mountains. Five generations of craftsmen followed him, pursuing the tradition and supplying Europe with violins, violas and cellos, most of which are still being played in orchestras today.
Georges Cabasse’s obsession is to perfectly reproduce the concerts he loves, without any alteration, coloration or distortion in the sound. This boundless passion has led him to relentlessly innovate, transmit and share his exacting requirements with the rest of the Cabasse team, so that all ears can enjoy the essence and thrill of pure sound.
The compliance with timbre and phase, the stability and depth of image inherent to the SCS range of coaxial drivers have appealed to the top professionals in stereo and multichannel sound. The biggest French TV stations have all been won over (TF1, France 2, France 3, Canal +). Being chosen by professionals is the best of compliments.
WHAT MAKES ANTHEM MRX RECEIVERS MUCH BETTER VALUE FOR THE MONEY THAN OTHER HIGH-END RECEIVERS?
Plus all the other stuff you really want to be able to do:
ARC: ANTHEM ROOM CORRECTION
Even when the finest speakers are perfectly positioned, the room itself can have a dramatic negative impact on sound quality. Room dimensions, dead spots, archways, even furniture can turn a room into an additional instrument adding unwanted coloration and resonance to music and movies.
ARC adjusts for the room’s effect on the speakers in a way that mimics our hearing. Now your Anthem gear and your Paradigm speakers can do what they do best: allow you to lose yourself in the music or movie you’re watching.
How does ARC do what it does?
Home Theater - 5 Stars - July 2011
The AnthemLogic-Music mode is remarkably fine and may be especially well suited for systems whose center speakers are less than perfectly timbrematched.
Taken together, all the demos demonstrated the Anthem A/V receiver’s shape-shifting abilities. What I’d stereotyped as a crisp top end in the first movie demo evolved into a feel-good golden midrange in the LP. Even allowing for the Bellari phono preamp’s usual tube-smoothed midrange alchemy, I was amazed that I’d heard these things from the same amp.
Dolby Volume evens out the levels among different source components—and, even more usefully, narrows the extreme dynamic range of movie material, making it easier to reconcile loud effects with soft dialogue. Dolby Volume is a superb addition for any system that you’ll use for movies.
Dolby Virtual Speaker produces surround-like effects from just two speakers. Dolby Headphone produces surround-like effects from headphones. Dolby Pro Logic IIz uses two of the AVR’s seven amp channels to deliver height effects derived from any material that has two to 7.1 channels. Other uses for the extra two channels are back-surround and zone two.
Altogether, this is a very impressive AVR and a must-hear
