The MC-3 Turbo takes high output Moving Coil cartridges a step further, with a high polished, nude fine line diamond that delivers very clear sound, and good differentiation of instruments in complex recordings.
Its 3.3mV output is perfect for use with virtually any Moving Magnet (MM) phono preamps, including inbuilt models. The Nude Fine Line diamond resolves a high level of detail and provides expansive stereo imaging.
NOTE: Ortofon's X1 and X3MC have been replaced by the MC1 and MC3 Turbo, respectively. Much of the X series technology is applied to the MC1 and 3.
Stylus lifetime
If normal attention has been paid to cleaning record as well as stylus, Ortofon finds that from 600 up to 1,000 hours of play per stylus is possible without degradation of performance.
