Thorens - European Quality
In the history of home audio the words Thorens and turntable are more or less synonymous. Some consider ownership of a Thorens to be a major step in becoming a 'true' audiophile.
The skill and knowledge behind Thorens' beautifully-engineered, high-end audio equipment is based on over 125 years of research and development. This love of sonic reproduction is evident from their entry level turntables through to their flagship: the Thorens TD550, which retails at over $12,000 (cartridge extra!).
Founded in 1883 in Switzerland, Thorens turntables are now constructed in Germany, which is evident in the build quality of each of their products.
Wonderfully well-engineered, sturdily built, completely reliable, and, if the need ever arises, hard-working like real professional decks, the best Thorens turntables are a joy to own and a pleasure to use.
