Lots can be said about Analogue devices: turntable sales are scaling new heights to reflect the increasing numbers of vinyl records being pressed.

The immense acceptance of the Vincent PHO-111 Phono Preamp prompted Vincent to develop a new device suitable for meeting even greater requirements. The PHO-8, like its younger brother, was developed in Germany and inherited its good genes. However, while developing PHO-8, making good even better remained in the forefront.

Opulent Components

A principle goal of the PHO-8 was to erradicate ripples and stray pick-up interference through power and electricity supply by implementing an external mains adapter. However, as opposed to the trend followed by many providers, a standard wall power supply is not used here, instead an externally coordinated mains adapter is developed, which is connected to a 5-pin DINplug with the actual Phono part.

By selecting high-quality parts, “amplification” and “noise-current distance” parameters showcase the best quality. Even the PHO-8's casing is similar to that of the mains supply, while the front panel follows the design of PremiumLine.

PHO-8 is a perfect addition to the PremiumLine for connecting your disc player, and follows Vincent's philosophy of preferring to devise one device rather than making a compromise by integrated solutions in the field of Phono. A good example is how the PHO-8 includes both a MM and MC Phono-Preamplifier (easily switched on the front panel).

About Vincent - born in Germany 1995

This story began very quietly. It would get louder, yes, later there'd even be rumbles and shouts. Unfortunately it couldn’t be otherwise. But for the moment it was so quiet that we didn't dare speak in anything but whispers and even this single “Psst” sounded like an explosion.

It all started with a quite ordinary question: How do I make High End affordable? Uwe Bartel set off looking for a valve amplifier by the direct route, working logically and continuously. The first step, the introduction of the SA-1 valve prestage and the D-150 output stage, still made a very quiet sound in the press but one that couldn't be missed. Then it got a bit louder when Vincent expanded its product range and regularly thrilled the specialist press – and music lovers in particular.

The rumble was powerful and certainly justified because the new Vincent products were now electronically redesigned and presented in a solid metal housing. Now the Vincent brand was making a really audible bang in the specialist press and putting prestige brands in the shade again and again.

Bartel, the electronics engineer, is constantly surprising everyone with his innovations. So he is always expanding Vincent's product range and always ensures a sensation and a whole lot of noise in the 2-channel electronics sector.
