These terms and conditions are governed by the State and Commonwealth laws applicable in Queensland, Australia.

All prices on this site are in AUSTRALIAN Dollars and include GST unless otherwise specified. Product information, availability and prices are subject to change without notice. We apologise for any discrepancies caused by typographical errors and reserve the right to correct them. We are not obligated to sell items at incorrectly marked or advertised prices. If the price for the item is incorrect and is higher than the price provided at the time you placed your order, we may in our sole discretion inform you of the correct price and give you the option to order the item at the correct price, or we may cancel the order for such item and notify you of such cancellation.

All brands and products on this website are subject to copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws. All registered trademarks remain the property of their various owners. No logos, images or other data from this site may be used without the permission of Aussie Hi Fi or the applicable copyright owner.

Transactions involving persons under the age of 18 years and legal capacity

The law states that a minor cannot enter into contracts {Sale of Goods Act 1896 (Qld)}. By accepting these terms and conditions, the customer acknowledges that they are over the age of eighteen (18) years and that they are of sound mind, they are not an undischarged bankrupt and they are otherwise legally entitled to contract with Aussie Hi Fi. Should Aussie Hi Fi suffer any damage, consequential or other losses as a result of a transaction entered into by a minor, Aussie Hi Fi reserves the right to seek compensation for such losses from the parents or guardians of the minor who caused the order to be placed with Aussie Hi Fi.

Disclaimer

By entering and using Aussie Hi Fi's website and any information or services offered via the site, you indemnify Aussie Hi Fi against all claims, demands, proceedings, costs (including legal costs), expenses, damages, awards, judgments, and any other liability whatsoever wholly or partially arising directly or indirectly in connection with your access to or use of the site and its information, services, content or materials.

Whilst our website employs the latest in Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology software for its transactions with our customers (GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium, enabling up to 256-bit encryption), Aussie Hi Fi does not take responsibility for damages, consequential losses (whether direct or indirect) suffered by a customer whose credit card is fraudulently used or is used in an unauthorised manner. By accepting these terms and conditions, the customer acknowledges that s/he has sufficient notice of this disclaimer, s/he has entered into this transaction and accepted this disclaimer of his or her own free will.

Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards

At Aussie Hi Fi, our primary goal is to assure our many valued customers that transacting with us is a secure, safe and easy procedure. We take online fraud very seriously and we take every conceivable step to minimise the risk of transacting with a person or persons who wish to fraudulently use credit cards. Therefore, if we have evidence to suspect that a transaction is being or will be conducted by the fraudulent or unauthorised use of a credit card; we will not enter into the transaction. If we have evidence of fraudulent or unauthorised use of a credit card during the course of a transaction or prior to delivery of our goods, we will take all reasonable steps to suspend and cancel the transaction and/or prevent the delivery of goods which are the subject of a suspected illegal transaction. We will also take all reasonable steps to notify the police services on the relevant jurisdiction and assist the police by providing all information pertaining to the transaction to facilitate a prosecution of the offender.

Aussie Hi Fi User Account

When you register as a member of Aussie Hi Fi, the registration process requires that you input a password, display name and active email address. You acknowledge and agree that the email address you provide is accurate and complete, and is one that you own and use. Aussie Hi Fi reserves the right to refuse or cancel your registration of our website at our sole and absolute discretion. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify Aussie Hi Fi of any unauthorised use of your account or password. We encourage members to exit from their account at the end of each session to enhance security.

Your Aussie Hi Fi user account enables you to specify and update your preferred payment method when purchasing products. This information will be used when processing payments through the My Cart purchasing section of the Site.

Once you have ordered and paid for a product through the My Cart section of the Site, you can use the My Account section of the Site to view and track your order.
